  2. Logotype/wordmark: This design uses the company name in a unique font and color selection. There are thousands of different font styles. Whether scripted, bolded or slanted, the options are seemingly endless. Fonts can also be customized to give a design a unique look. Examples include the FedEx, IBM and Dell logos. Consideration should be given to scalability of text and font sizing. How will the logo transfer to various mediums?
  3. Combination marks: This graphic combines both a symbol and text. While the two may complement each other, they do not necessarily have to be entwined—they can be stand-alone products (think AT&T's symbol). Logos that have integrated symbols include Domino's Pizza and Reebok.
